New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Angel Bhati Chauhan (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation on Thursday.
Chauhan is a 2014-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2014 AGMUT cadre. Presently, she is posted as Director (Higher Education) with additional charge of Director (TTE), Govt of Delhi.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued on July 16, Chauhan has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme (CCS) for a tenure of four years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Chauhan, who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been directed to be relieved of her current responsibilities immediately to enable her to join her new assignment in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India, in New Delhi.
