Deepak Soni (IAS) appointed Director in Health Ministry

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Deepak Soni (IAS) as Director in the Department of Health & Family Welfare.

Soni is a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Chhattisgarh cadre. He is currently posted as District Collector of Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh. He holds a B.Com. in Accountancy from the University of Delhi.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Soni has been appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
