DoPT clears Rajesh Chandra’s appointment as Director in CVC

Rajesh Chandra, who was recommended for Central deputation by the Defence Ministry, has been selected for appointment as Director in CVC

New Delhi: Rajesh Chandra has been selected for appointment to the post of Director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Delhi, said an order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). He is an Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) officer of 2003-batch. According to the order, Chandra has been appointed as Director in CVC under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until the further orders, whichever is earlier, the DoPT said. The order said that Chandra was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Defence.

Education Qualification

Hailing from Bihar, Chandra has completed his BA (Hons) from Patna College of Patna University. He also completed MA in History and M Phil in Linguistics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has served in various offices of the Defence Accounts Department.

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is an apex governmental body created to address governmental corruption. The Parliament enacted a law conferring statutory status on the CVC in 2003.
