Harleen Kaur (IAS) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways

New Delhi: Harleen Kaur (IAS) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday, she has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Kaur is a 2012 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre.

Kaur was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The DoPT has directed that she be relieved of her present responsibilities immediately to enable her to take up the new assignment in the central ministry.

Kaur brings to the position a strong background in public administration, having served in various key roles within the AGMUT cadre.
