Maya Kumari (CPES) appointed Deputy Secretary in Department of Defence

New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed Maya Kumari (CPES) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Defence under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS). She is a 2014-batch officer of the Central Power Engineering Service (CPES).

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on August 7, her appointment will be for a period of four years from the date she assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Power.

The order also directed that Kumari be relieved of her current duties immediately to take up her new role in the Department of Defence.
