Pazhaniyandi Velayudhan Pillai (IRS) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC)

New Delhi: Pazhaniyandi Velayudhan Pillai (IRS) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFC), Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme. The order for his appointment was issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on February 14, 2025.

Pillai is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2009 batch. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue. His appointment as Director will be for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

He has been directed to be relieved of his current duties immediately to assume his new role at the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Delhi.
