New Delhi: Pushpendra Kumar (IPS) has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Ministry of Defence. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Kumar has been selected for appointment as Director in the Ministry of Defence, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Defence," the order added.

Pushpendra Kumar is a 2006-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the AGMUT cadre. He is currently posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Vigilance), Delhi.
