New Delhi: Rituraj Misra (IRPS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, earlier known as Ministry of Shipping. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Misra has been selected for the appointment under the central staffing scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier. He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

Profile of Rituraj Misra

Misra is an Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) of the 2010-batch. He is an Engineering Graduate (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering and also completed M Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. He has also done Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Currently, he is serving as Senior Divisional Personnel Officer in the Indian Railways.
