Runul Pratap (IA&AS) appointed as DS in Department of Food & Public Distribution

Runul Pratap (IA&AS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Food & Public Distribution

New Delhi: Runul Pratap (IA&AS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Food & Public Distribution under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Monday, Pratap has been selected for the appointment under the under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Pratap is an Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) service officer of 2014. He was recommended for the Central deputation by the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

Before this appointment, Pratap served as Senior Deputy Accountant General in the Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Haryana, based in Chandigarh. He was in charge of Audit Management Groups (AMG)-III and AMG-V.

“He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Food & Public Distribution, Delhi,” the order further reads.
