Surjith Karthikeyan (IES) appointed as DS in Department of Financial Services

Surjith Karthikeyan (IES) has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services under the Central Staffing Scheme

New Delhi: Surjith Karthikeyan (IES) has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance, said an official order on Thursday. According to the order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Karthikeyan has been selected for appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CCS) for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Financial Services," the order added.

Karthikeyan is an Indian Economic Service (IES) officer of the 2004-batch. He was recommended for the Central Deputation by the Department of Economic Affairs.

Further, according to a separate order issued on the same day, Shrikant Namdeo (IRS) has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Financial Services. He has been selected for the appointment under the CCS for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Financial Services," the order added.

Namdeo is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2004-batch. He was recommended for the Central deputation by the Department of Revenue.
