New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved on Wednesday the appointment of Anu Kukreja (ICoAS) as Director (Finance) in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), she has been appointed to the post for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. "She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the National Disaster Management Authority," the order read.
Kukreja is an Indian Cost Account Service (ICoAS) officer of 2000-batch. She is currently posted as Joint Director (Public Finance) in the Department of Expenditure. She is a Commerce Graduate (BCom in Accounting) from Delhi University. She also has a degree in Cost Accountancy from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is an apex body of the government with a mandate to lay down policies for disaster management.
