Vikash Kumar (IA&AS) appointed as DS in Defence Ministry

Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer Vikash Kumar has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Defence

New Delhi: Vikash Kumar (IA&AS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Defence. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Wednesday, Kumar has been selected for the appointment to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Kumar is an Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of 2012-batch. He was recommended for the Central deputation by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG). “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Defence,” the order further reads.
