Here is the list of PSUs that have won first National CSR Award

New Delhi: The President Ram Nath Kovind has presented first National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award to selected companies in an event held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday. The National CSR Awards have been instituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to recognise corporate initiatives in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR) to achieve inclusive growth and sustainable development.

These awards are the highest recognition in the domain of CSR by the government. Here is the list of PSUs who got this recognition during the award ceremony:

'Corporate Awards for Excellence in CSR' category

1. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) got the highest recognition during the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Corporate Award for Excellence in CSR' in 'CSR spend above Rs 100 crores' category.

2. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is the second PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Contribution to the National Priority Areas' in 'Education' category.

3. Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited (MCL) is the third PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Contribution to the National Priority Areas' in 'Health, Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation' category.

4. Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) is the fourth PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Contribution to the National Priority Areas' in 'Environment, Sustainable Development and Solar Energy' category.

5. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is the fifth PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Contribution to the National Priority Areas' in 'Women & Child Development' category.

6. Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) is the sixth PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Contribution to the National Priority Areas' in the 'Promotion of Sports' category.

'Corporate Awards in CSR in Challenging Circumstances' category

1. National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO) is the first PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Corporate Award for Excellence in CSR' in 'CSR spend between Rs 10 crores – 100 crores'

2. Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is the second PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'CSR in Challenging Circumstances' in 'East India' category.

3. Mecon Limited is the third PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'CSR in Challenging Circumstances' in 'East India' category.

4. Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL) is the fourth PSU got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'CSR in Challenging Circumstances' in 'South India' category.

5. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) is the fifth PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Contribution to the National Priority Areas' in 'Women & Child Development' category.

6. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is the sixth PSU who got this recognition in the National CSR Awards and awarded with 'Contribution to the National Priority Areas' in 'Support to Differently-abled'
