New Delhi/Sambalpur: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), reinforcing its commitment towards improving community infrastructure and basic civic amenities, has extended financial assistance for the construction of two Bituminous (BT) roads in the slum areas of Athmallik NAC in Anugola district under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The project has a total estimated cost of Rs 5,35,34,023.64.

The two roads, with a combined length of 5 km, will improve connectivity and facilitate safer and smoother transportation for residents of the beneficiary areas. The project includes construction of a 3.50-km BT road from Tangianisha Chhattia Sahi towards Padmapokhari and a 1.50-km BT road from Baratikira towards Tangianisha, both in Ward No. 03 of Athmallik NAC.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project was signed by Shri Jyotirmay Sinha, General Manager (CSR), MCL and Shri Abdaal M. Akhtar, Collector & DM, Anugola.

The initiative is expected to strengthen local connectivity and improve mobility for residents by providing all-weather road infrastructure, thereby contributing to better access and improved quality of life in the beneficiary areas.
