New Delhi/Jharkhand: NTPC Limited’s North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (NKSTPP) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the district administration of Chatra to develop 25 Anganwadi Centres into Model Anganwadi Centres across the district.

Under the initiative, NTPC will provide financial assistance of Rs 1,08,07,500. The project will be executed in a structured mode to ensure timely and efficient implementation.

The initiative aims to strengthen maternal and child health, promote early childhood care and pre-school education, and address malnutrition. It is also expected to contribute to reducing Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in the region.

The MoA has been signed in the presence of Keerthishree G, Deputy Commissioner, Chatra; Alok Kumar Tripathi, Head of Project, NTPC North Karanpura; Amrendra Kumar Sinha, Deputy Development Commissioner; and Neeraj Roy, AGM (HR), NTPC North Karanpura.

Speaking on the occasion, Keerthishree G appreciated NTPC’s commitment to community development, stating that the initiative will enhance Anganwadi infrastructure and improve health, nutrition, and early education outcomes in the district.
