Power Grid gets international CSR recognition

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), a Maharatna CPSU under Ministry of Power, has been conferred the awards of “CSR World Leader 2023” and “International CSR Excellence-2023” at a carbon neutral presentation ceremony by the Green Organization at the Houses of Parliament, Palace of Westminster, London on November 20. The prestigious award was received by Power Grid's Director (Personnel) Dr Yatindra Dwivedi.

The honour was bestowed upon Power Grid in appreciation of its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its impact on a global scale. Power Grid is the only PSU of India to have been honored with this international recognition, competing against more than 500 Global-Nominees.

CSR is embedded into Power Grid’s business model. It is aligned towards UN Sustainable Development Goals and has been consistently contributing in the field of economic and social development across the country with its CSR initiatives. Adopting a multi-facet approach implementation of CSR interventions, the company consults and engages with all its stakeholders.

The corporation is proud to be acknowledged for its contribution to the society and looks forward to continuing its efforts to make a positive difference in the world.
