16 ITBP officials awarded medals on 76th Republic Day

16 officials of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been recognised for their exceptional service and dedication on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day

New Delhi: On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day of India, 16 officials of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been recognised for their exceptional service and dedication. Among the awardees, three officials have received the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while 13 officials have been awarded for the Medal for Meritorious Service.

The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service were conferred upon Clay Khongsai, Inspector General (IG), Sanjay Kumar Kothari, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) (General Duty), and Sudesh Kumar Rana, Second-in-Command (General Duty). These awards are a testament to their exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the ITBP and the nation.

The Medal for Meritorious Service were honored Manu Maharaaj, DIG; Indu Bhushan Jha, DIG (General Duty); Chandan Singh Bhandari, Commandant (General Duty); Sanjay Kumar, Commandant (General Duty); Shobhan Singh Rana, Commandant (General Duty); Rambir Singh, Assistant Commandant (Ordinary Language); Balak Ram Dogra, Assistant Commandant (Staff Officer); Gyanendra Kumar Bhardwaj, Inspector (Communication); Krishan Chand, Inspector (General Duty); Satender Singh Rawat, Inspector (General Duty); Gharu Ram, Assistant Sub-Inspector (General Duty); Rakesh Negi, Assistant Sub-Inspector (General Duty) and Satish Kumar, Head Constable (General Duty). Their relentless efforts and dedication to duty have earned them this well-deserved recognition.

The Director General of ITBP, along with the entire ITBP family, has extended heartfelt congratulations to all the medal recipients. These awards highlight the unwavering commitment and service of ITBP personnel, who work tirelessly to safeguard the nation’s borders and maintain internal security.
