Anoop Kumar Rai set to be next Director (Marketing) of BEL

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Anoop Kumar Rai for the post of Director (Marketing) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on Tuesday

New Delhi: Anoop Kumar Rai is set to be next Director (Marketing) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navaratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Rai has been recommended for the post of Director (Marketing) of BEL from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel, in its selection meeting held on May 19. Out of 12 candidates, seven candidates were from BEL, two candidates each from BSNL and Ministry of Defence and one candidate was from ECIL.

As Director (Marketing) of BEL, Rai will replace Kaipa Venkata Suresh Kumar, who has been serving on the post since June 16, 2023.

At the top most marketing position of BEL, Rai will be responsible for evolving a marketing strategy for the defence PSU's products both in domestic and international markets. He will have to initiate programmes for new customer development, identify diversification programmes for the company and ensure a healthy order book position for the company's products. He will ensure a system for market intelligence and research on a continuous basis among others.
