Bengaluru/Kozhikode: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a leading Navratna Defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K), one of India’s premier management institutions, to promote leadership development, management excellence, and business acumen among BEL executives.
The partnership aims to create a series of customised Professional Post Graduate Diploma (PPGD) programmes designed by IIM-Kozhikode. These programmes will nurture a future-ready talent pool within BEL, strengthening its leadership pipeline and strategic capabilities.
In the initial phase, the collaboration will focus on key themes such as Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management, and General Management. The scope will later expand to include additional areas based on BEL’s requirements and the evolving business environment. The initiative is designed to equip BEL executives with cutting-edge management learning, strategic decision-making skills, and domain-enhancing expertise aligned with BEL’s long-term growth and leadership vision.
The MoU has been signed in the presence of BEL's Director (HR) N Vikraman and Director's Prof. Debashis Chatterjee IIM-Kozhikode. Senior officials from both organisations were also present during the signing ceremony.
Leaders from BEL and IIM-K expressed their satisfaction over the agreement, describing it as a landmark collaboration that reinforces the long-standing relationship between the two institutions. They emphasised that the initiative reflects a shared commitment to nurturing leadership talent within India’s strategic sectors.
The Professional Post Graduate Diploma Programme series has been carefully designed to help BEL professionals evolve into mindful, resilient, and visionary leaders, capable of navigating the challenges of a rapidly changing business and defence landscape.
