The MoU has been signed in New Delhi on Tuesday between BEL's General Manager (Civilian Marketing) Prahalad PS and Instapower Limited's Executive Director Abhijit Rai Vaish. Instapower is recognised as a Research and Development (R&D) house by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

The collaboration aims to combine BEL’s long-standing expertise in defence electronics, system integration and large-scale programme execution with Instapower’s strengths in the design, development and manufacturing of advanced electronic products. Through this partnership, the two companies plan to explore and address emerging technology-driven opportunities in civilian infrastructure segments.

According to BEL, this association is expected to significantly enhance BEL’s capabilities in the Railway and Aviation domains, while also strengthening its presence in the fast-growing EMS space. The partnership will also explore other business areas of mutual interest, leveraging complementary strengths to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.

BEL, a Navratna defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has been steadily expanding its footprint beyond defence into civilian sectors such as transportation, aerospace and manufacturing services. The tie-up with Instapower aligns with BEL’s strategy to diversify its portfolio and support indigenous development and manufacturing of high-technology electronic systems in line with national priorities.
