New Delhi: Ajai Kumar Srivastava is set to be next Director (Production) of ITI Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ public sector enterprise under the Department of Telecommunications. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Saturday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager in the same organisation.

Srivastava has been recommended for the post of Director (Production) of ITI Limited from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on April 4. Out of six candidates, four candidates were from ITI Limited itself, and two candidates were from BSNL Limited.

The post of Director (Production) is a key functional role responsible for overseeing production operations and driving manufacturing efficiency at ITI Limited, which plays a strategic role in India’s telecom and technology manufacturing ecosystem.

As Director (Production) of ITI Limited, Srivastava will be a member of the board of director and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for production and turnkey projects management of the company i.e. production of entire range of telecom equipment covering switching, transmission, mobile, access products and subscriber premises equipment etc. and providing end-to-end solutions for turnkey projects.

However, the final appointment of Srivastava as Director (Production) of ITI Limited will be subject to approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
