Bengaluru: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has signed multiple Licensing Agreements for Transfer of Technologies (LAToT) on Friday with various labs of DRDO like Combat Aircraft Systems Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC), R&DE (E), DRDL, IRDE and CHESS for manufacturing advanced defence equipment including Digital Radar Warning Receiver, Laser Based End Game Fuze (LBEGF), Multi kW Beam Directed Optical Channel (BDOC).

BEL signs LAToT with CASDIC for manufacturing DRWR

BEL signed an LAToT with CASDIC for transfer of technology of Digital Radar Warning Receiver (DRWR). It is a state-of-the-art, airborne Electronic Warfare system (EWS) which would provide versatile situational awareness to a fighter platform even in a dense signal scenario. This will also offer excellent sensitivity, good parameter measurement accuracy and high probability of intercept against dense signal.

"The LAToT will enable BEL to manufacture and supply Digital Radar Warning Receivers
to the Indian Armed Forces. Through this, CASDIC will transfer complete details of the
technical know-how, testing and maintenance method for quality assurance to BEL with
requisite data on the functioning of the product," said the company in a press statement.

BEL signs LAToT with DRDL & IRDE for manufacturing LBEGF

BEL signed an LAToT with DRDO labs — DRDL, Hyderabad, and IRDE, Dehradun — for
manufacturing the Laser Based End Game Fuze (LBEGF). "The agreement will enable BEL to undertake manufacturing of LBEGF at its state-of-the-art facility at Pune. Laser Based End Game Fuze is a sub-system of a missile which can be used to generate detonation pulse at detection of the target of interest," said the company in a press statement.

BEL signs LAToT with R&DE (E) for manufacturing of Unexploded Ordnance Handling Robot

BEL has signed an LAToT with the Research and Development Establishment (Engineers), Pune, for the manufacturing and integration of Unexploded Ordnance Handling Robot. "The agreement will also enable BEL to expand its product portfolio of Remotely Operated Vehicles and enhance its expertise in the field of unexploded ordnance handling devices. These remotely operated UXOR can handle and diffuse the unexploded ordnances," said the statement.

BEL signed another LAToT with the Centre for High Energy Systems and Sciences (CHESS) for the manufacturing of Multi kW Beam Directed Optical Channel (BDOC). "This LAToT will enable the company to undertake manufacturing of "Multi-kilo Watt Beam Directing Optical Channel" at its state-of-the-art Pune manufacturing facility," said the statement.
