
New Delhi: The Government of India has approved a series of senior-level appointments under the Central Staffing Scheme, placing experienced officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and other central services in leadership roles across various ministries and organisations.
Varnali Deka, IAS (Assam-Meghalaya cadre, 2009 batch), has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, New Delhi, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Vikram Singh Malik, IAS (AGMUT cadre, 2012 batch), will serve as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, New Delhi, for a four-year term.
Vipin Kumar, IRSEE (2014 batch), has been named Joint Commissioner (Deputy Secretary level) in Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, New Delhi, for a period of four years.
Shyam Sundar Agrawal, ICoAS (2011 batch), will take over as Integrated Financial Adviser (Director level) in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, for a tenure of five years.
Dr. Pooja Joshi, IAS (AGMUT cadre, 2011 batch), has been appointed as General Manager (Director level) of the Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), Bengaluru-South, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, until September 30, 2026, coinciding with her superannuation.
Mohammed Y Safirulla K, IAS (Kerala cadre, 2010 batch), has been posted as Director in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, New Delhi, for five years or until further orders.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has directed all concerned authorities to relieve the officers from their current duties immediately to enable them to join their new assignments within three weeks of the orders, in accordance with existing guidelines.
