New Delhi: State-run defence and engineering company BEML Ltd has been recognised with the “Maximum Order Value to MSEs” award at the 10th Foundation Day celebrations of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal presented the award to BEML in recognition of its procurement from Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) through the GeM platform.
Anil Jerath, Director (Finance), BEML, received the award on behalf of the company.
The recognition highlights BEML’s continued efforts to strengthen procurement from MSEs through GeM, thereby facilitating greater participation of smaller enterprises in public procurement.

The defence PSU said its procurement initiatives through the government’s digital procurement platform are contributing to the development of the MSE ecosystem and supporting broader participation of smaller businesses in government procurement.
