BEML bags six honours at Business Innovation Awards 2026

New Delhi: State-owned BEML Limited on Friday said that it has won six awards at the 4th Edition of the Business Innovation Awards 2026.

According to an official statement, BEML received these awards in recognition of its performance, innovation, organisational excellence, infrastructure development, workplace culture, and corporate communications.

The Defence PSU received honours in following categories:

1. Best Performing PSU of the Year,

2. Infrastructure PSU of the Year,

3. Best Public Sector Workplace Culture,

4. Public Sector Innovation Excellence Award,

5. Public Sector Marketing & Communication

While BEML Chairman and Managing Director Shantanu Roy was recognised as Visionary Public Sector Leader of the Year.

The awards were received by BEML's senior leadership team. Anil Jerath, Director (Finance), accepted the Visionary Public Sector Leader of the Year award on behalf of CMD Shantanu Roy and also received the Best Performing PSU of the Year award.

Debi Prasad Satpathy, Director (Human Resources), received the Best Public Sector Workplace Culture award, while Sanjay Som, Director (Mining & Construction), accepted the Infrastructure PSU of the Year honour.

Om Prakash Singh, Executive Director (Rail & Metro), received the Public Sector Innovation Excellence Award, and Tapash Talukdar, Head of Corporate Communications, accepted the Public Sector Marketing & Communication award.

The recognition comes during a milestone year for BEML. In FY 2025-26, the company recorded its highest-ever annual turnover, highest investment in research and development, largest order book and highest capital expenditure.

During the financial year, BEML also delivered India's first Vande Bharat Sleeper trainset and developed the country's first indigenously built all-electric BRS21 Rope Shovel, reinforcing its focus on innovation, indigenous manufacturing and the government's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

The company said it remains focused on strengthening its innovation ecosystem, enhancing its talent base and expanding its position as one of India's leading diversified engineering and manufacturing companies.
