DK Batra appointed as Director (Finance) of BEL

Dinesh Kumar Batra, who was recommended by the PESB panel, has been appointed as Director (Finance) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Dinesh Kumar Batra as Director (Finance) of Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on Tuesday. According to the order issued on April 28, Batra has been appointed on the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, on or after August 1, till the date of his superannuation i.e. October 31, 2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is currently serving as General Manager in the same defence PSU.

PSU Watch was the first news organisation to report when Batra was recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of BEL by a PESB panel on January 24. He was selected from a list of four candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is a state-owned aerospace and defence company with about nine factories and several regional offices in India. The organisation is owned by the government and primarily manufactures advanced electronic products for the Indian Armed Forces. BEL is one of nine PSUs under the Ministry of Defence of India. It has been granted Navratna status by the government.
