Drone manufacturer Garuda Aerospace would provide its drones to aid the ongoing relief and rescue efforts in the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey

Chennai: Drone manufacturer Garuda Aerospace would provide its drones to aid the ongoing relief and rescue efforts in the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey which killed thousands of people, said the company on Wednesday. Garuda Aerospace would deploy 'Droni Drone' for surveillance in the most affected areas to identify victims of the earthquake. Modified 'Kisan Drone' would carry payloads to help transport of medicines, supplies and foods for the victims.

"Garuda Aerospace has always stepped-up during crisis and has created massive impact by deploying drones for various emergency situations. Given the current situation in Turkey, Garuda Aerospace is deploying drones to support the ongoing rescue and relief operations," Garuda Aerospace founder-CEO, Agnishwar Jayaprakash said.

On Wednesday, the death toll breached the 9,400 mark making the quake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale that struck southeastern Turkey and northern Syria on Monday, the deadliest in more than a decade.
