GRSE posts 19% jump in PAT in FY2018-19

Kolkata: Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited, one of India's leading warship builder for Indian Navy and Coast Guard, reported a healthy increase of 19 percent in its PAT to Rs 109.93 crores for FY 18-19, as compared to Rs 92.40 crores in FY 17-18. The public sector undertaking's (PSU) FY 18-19 PAT margin stood at a robust 7.93 percent, as against 6.85 percent in FY18.

Revenue from operations at Rs 1,386.43 cr

Revenue from operations for the year ended March 31, 2019 stood at Rs1386.43 crores, compared to Rs 1,349.66 crores during the same period last year.

EBITDA rose by 29 percent

The company reported Earnings before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 211.16 crores, marking a 29 percent rise in FY 18-19, as against Rs 164.39 crores in FY 17-18.

Board recommends dividend of Rs. 5.10 per equity share

The Board of Directors of the company has recommended a dividend of Rs 5.10 per equity share of Rs 10 each. This dividend is in addition to the interim dividend of            Rs 1.85 per equity share paid for the financial year.

The backdrop

The company has recently signed a contract for eight ASW-Shallow Water Craft for the Indian Navy with order value of Rs 6,311 crores. This new order has taken the book order position of the company to a level of more than Rs 27,500 crores as of date.
