PESB picks Kamesh Kasana for BEL's Director (Other Units) role

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Kamesh Kasana for the post of Director (Other Units) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on Tuesday

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Kamesh Kasana for the post of Director (Other Units) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence.

The recommendation has been made during PESB Meeting No. 25/2025, which was held on Tuesday. Kasana currently serves as the General Manager of Military Communication at BEL.

A total of 12 senior executives from Bharat Electronics Limited were interviewed for the coveted post. The list of candidates included Anoop Kumar Rai, Chief Scientist at BEL; Kappagantula Srinivas, General Manager and Unit Head; Giriraja Nandavaram, GM (DCCS); Tribhuwan Narayana Singh, GM (Components SBU); Niti Pandit, GM (Strategic Planning); Ramkumar B, GM (HR); Manjula Devi N, GM (Missile Systems SBU); Dr. Chandana Viswanadham, GM; Srinivas Rao Pallinti, GM (International Marketing); Sanjay Agarwal, GM (Central Services); and Ambrish Tripathi, GM and Unit Head of the Kotdwara Unit.

Following the selection process, Kasana emerged as the PESB’s recommended candidate for the post of Director (Other Units), reflecting his extensive experience and leadership within the organisation.

BEL plays a key role in India’s defence electronics sector, and the position of Director (Other Units) holds critical responsibility for overseeing multiple units and ensuring synergy across BEL’s diverse portfolio.

The recommendation will now go through the necessary approvals from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) before a formal appointment is made.
