Bangalore: BEML Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence observed 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' (National Unity Day) in all its offices and complexes across the country on Thursday. The celebrations were organised to create awareness on the importance of national unity and security among its employees and neighbours on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

During the 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' celebration employees and executives took a pledge. A large number of employees and executives participated in a walkathon – 'Run for Unity.' Apart from this blood donation camps, quiz contest for school children, march past by security personnel were all part of the programme.
