New Delhi: The CISF unit at NTPC Limited’s Kaniha project organised a Fire Service Day ceremony, marking the beginning of Fire Service Week being observed from April 14 to April 20.

The event was inaugurated by K. Narasimha Reddy, Head of Project and Executive Director, NTPC Kaniha, in the presence of senior officials, CISF personnel, employees, and other stakeholders. Tributes were paid to fire service personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty, followed by a two-minute silence.

A pledge on fire safety awareness was administered, and informational material on fire prevention was released during the programme. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest emphasised the need for preparedness against fire-related incidents and lauded the dedication of CISF personnel.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and a fire safety awareness procession flagged off in the township.
