The award was presented at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on June 23. Aparajita Ghosh, General Manager (Finance), received the award on behalf of GRSE. The recognition highlights GRSE’s sustained focus on cost competitiveness, value engineering, and prudent resource allocation in its shipbuilding operations.

In a parallel achievement, Ramesh Kumar Dash, former Director (Finance) and CFO of GRSE, was honoured with the “Best CMA Achiever Award 2024” in the Public – Manufacturing – Medium category. This individual recognition reflects his significant contributions to strengthening GRSE’s financial practices during his tenure.

Instituted by ICMAI, the National Awards for Excellence in Cost Management aim to recognise organisations that excel in cost control, innovation in cost practices, and financial transparency. GRSE’s recognition is particularly notable as it continues to deliver complex, state-of-the-art warships for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, supporting the Government of India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative through indigenous design and manufacturing.

The latest honour adds to GRSE’s growing list of accolades, showcasing the company’s steadfast commitment to operational excellence and national defence self-reliance.
