New Delhi: Two senior women officers of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) have been conferred with top national honours at the Indian PSU Nari Shakti Samman Awards 2025 for their exemplary leadership and contributions to the organisation’s growth.

At a ceremony held at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, on October 15, Aparajita Ghosh, General Manager (Finance), received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Swagata Sen Roy, Additional General Manager (Corporate Communication), was honoured with the Women Empowerment Advocate Award. The awards were presented by Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.

A finance professional with over three decades of experience, Ghosh joined GRSE in 2014 and rose to head the Finance Department in 2021. Under her strategic guidance, GRSE has strengthened its financial framework and successfully navigated key projects, including the negotiation of the high-value Next Generation Corvette contract.

Roy, who joined GRSE in 2012, has been instrumental in building the shipyard’s corporate brand and enhancing its external communications. As head of Corporate Communication, she has effectively highlighted GRSE’s achievements and played an active role in promoting women’s empowerment through her involvement in the Women in Public Sector (WIPS) forum.
