HSL honoured for Digital Excellence at Governance Now PSU IT Awards

New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has been conferred with the prestigious 'IT Service Management' award at the Governance Now 10th PSU IT Forum and Awards, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to digital transformation in the maritime sector.

The award has been presented during a ceremony held in New Delhi on Friday, where Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) across India were lauded for their initiatives in advancing the country’s digital ecosystem. The event celebrated the efforts of PSUs in supporting the government’s vision of a 'Digital India.'

HSL's Director (Corporate Planning & Personnel) Cmde Rakesh Prasad received the award on behalf of the defence PSU. The recognition highlights the successful implementation of key IT applications and reforms at the shipyard, which have significantly enhanced operational efficiency and strengthened digital systems within the organisation.

HSL was honoured in the ‘Other PSUs’ category, sharing the stage with leading Maharatna, Navratna, Miniratna, and State PSUs that have demonstrated excellence in digital initiatives.

Speaking on the recognition, HSL reaffirmed its commitment to adopting emerging technologies and driving innovation to accelerate digital transformation in the maritime domain.

The award marks a significant milestone in HSL’s ongoing efforts to modernise its operations and contribute to India’s evolving digital landscape.
