HSL shines at the 14th PSE Excellence Awards

HSL has been recognised for its excellence in the maritime industry, bagging three prestigious awards at the 14th PSE Excellence Awards ceremony

New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has once again solidified its position as a leader in the maritime industry by clinching three prestigious accolades at the 14th PSE Excellence Awards held in Delhi on December 21. The awards, which celebrate exceptional performance among public sector enterprises, recognised HSL’s remarkable achievements under the transformative leadership of its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Cmde Hemant Khatri.

Cmde Hemant Khatri was honoured with the coveted 'CMD of the Year' award, a testament to his exemplary leadership and strategic vision. Under his stewardship, HSL has implemented significant reforms, including policy changes aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving the ease of doing business. These measures have culminated in HSL achieving its highest-ever Value of Production in FY 2023-24, marking a threefold increase compared to FY 2020-21.

In addition to the 'CMD of the Year' recognition, HSL’s commitment to corporate responsibility and inclusivity was also acknowledged. Shri Inaitula Baig, Additional General Manager (CS&CP), received the award for 'Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability' for spearheading initiatives that align with HSL’s sustainability goals and community impact. Meanwhile, M Bhanu Priya, Deputy General Manager (Design), was celebrated with the 'Contribution of Women in PSEs' award, underscoring HSL’s dedication to fostering diversity and empowering women within the organisation.
