New Delhi: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has been awarded with the "Grow Care India Occupational Health & Safety Platinum Award-2023." The award has been presented to MRPL for showing excellence in ensuring the safety and well-being of the workforce in a function held in Lucknow on October 27.

The 'OHS Award' is instituted by Grow Care India for exemplary dedication in the area of environment, health and safety practices. MRPL's Mangalore Unit has been conferred with the Platinum Award in Petroleum Refinery sector for its outstanding achievements in Occupational Health & Safety Management 2023.

MRPL is a division of ONGC which is under the ownership of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Established in 1988, the refinery is located at Katipalla, north from the centre of Mangalore.
