NTPC Bongaigaon receives national recognition for energy efficiency

New Delhi: NTPC Bongaigaon (750 MW) has been awarded the prestigious Public Sector Utility - National Energy Efficient Team title at the National Efficiency Awards 2025. The recognition was conferred by the Mission Energy Foundation during the 7th Annual Reducing Net Heat Rate Conference & Awards held in Goa.

The award acknowledges NTPC Bongaigaon's excellence in energy efficiency improvements in the more than 100 MW category. The station has consistently demonstrated its commitment to optimising performance and promoting sustainable power generation.

Plant's AGM (EEMG) Rakesh Kumar accepted the award on behalf of NTPC Bongaigaon. The power station continues to focus on adopting advanced technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency, reinforcing NTPC’s broader mission of sustainable energy production and national energy security.
