New Delhi: Swachhta Pakhwada was organised at NTPC Dadri with great enthusiasm and active public participation. Several creative and impactful programs were held during this period to raise awareness about cleanliness.

The fortnight began with a pledge ceremony, followed by cleanliness drives across the township and surrounding areas. Drawing competitions and cleanliness rallies were organised for students in schools. An essay competition was held for women residing in the township. At ITI Uncha Amirpur, students carried out a cleanliness campaign. Various locations, including Sarveshwar Temple, were cleaned.

A special team was formed to curb the use of single-use plastic. A health talk was organised for sanitation workers. Dustbins were distributed during cleanliness drives in nearby villages.

Public awareness lectures and street plays were conducted to promote water conservation and discourage open burning. Tree plantation and cleanliness drives were also carried out by GEM participants.

This fortnight stood as an inspiring example of public participation, environmental awareness, and social responsibility marking a significant step toward realising the vision of a Clean India.
