Vindhyachal: NTPC Vindhyachal celebrated the 77th Republic Day with patriotic fervour at Ambedkar Stadium, bringing together employees, their families and members of the local community to commemorate India’s democratic values and national spirit.

The celebrations were led by Sanjib Kumar Saha, Chief General Manager (Vindhyachal), who unfurled the National Flag in the presence of senior officials, including heads of operations, maintenance, medical services, human resources, representatives of CISF, unions, associations and principals of township schools. The programme featured a ceremonial parade, march past, vibrant tableaux and cultural performances by school students, highlighting the themes of Viksit Bharat and India’s rich cultural heritage.

Addressing the gathering, Saha highlighted NTPC Vindhyachal’s achievements in power generation, operational excellence and community development, and acknowledged the collective efforts of employees along with support from Corporate and Regional Headquarters. As part of the ceremony, several awards were conferred, including Best Contingent honours, Best Turnout awards to contingents, HOP Meritorious Awards to employees, and recognitions for excellence in Business Excellence and CII–Exim Bank assessments. Teams and individuals were also felicitated for championing NTPC’s core values in daily operations.

Reinforcing its commitment to inclusive growth, NTPC Vindhyachal undertook a CSR initiative by distributing motorised tricycles to specially-abled beneficiaries. The celebrations concluded with senior management visiting Vindhya Hospital to distribute fruits to patients, reflecting the organisation’s focus on compassion, social responsibility and nation-building.
