New Delhi: NTPC Limited’s Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station has earned national recognition after winning the prestigious “Environment Excellence 2026 – Central Sector Coal Based Power Plant of the Year” award.

The accolade was conferred by the Mission Energy Foundation in Goa, highlighting the plant’s commitment to sustainable operations and environmental stewardship in thermal power generation.

The award recognises NTPC Vindhyachal’s continued focus on adopting best-in-class green practices while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency. The station has been at the forefront of integrating environmentally responsible measures in coal-based power generation, aligning with broader national sustainability goals.

Sanjay Prakash Yadav, AGM (EMG), received the award on behalf of the station, marking another milestone in Vindhyachal’s journey towards operational excellence combined with environmental responsibility.
