Employees at various locations began their day with guided yoga sessions led by trained instructors. The sessions focused on asanas, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices that promote holistic wellness, reduce stress, and improve focus. The celebration underscored OMC’s commitment to nurturing a healthier workforce and embedding wellness into its work culture.

At the Head Office in Bhubaneswar, a group session saw participation from officials and staff across departments, including the Director (HR) Alok Kumar Pal, reflecting leadership commitment to workplace wellness and organisational harmony.

In addition to its mining regions, OMC extended the celebration to its educational and community outreach platforms. Special yoga sessions were held in Odisha Mining Adarsh Vidyalayas (OMAVs), OMC-DAV Schools, and local community centres, involving students, teachers, and local residents. These sessions aimed to instill awareness of healthy habits from a young age and promote wellness in the communities around OMC’s areas of operation.

By integrating the principles of yoga into daily life and work, OMC continues to align with the broader goals of sustainability and collective well-being, echoing the core message of this year’s Yoga Day.
