SAIL’s RSP registers highest ever hot metal production

Steel Authority of India's Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has set a new benchmark by producing 11,940 tonnes of hot metal with two blast furnace

Rourkela: Steel Authority of India's (SAIL) Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has set a new benchmark by producing 11,940 tonnes of hot metal on January 20 with blast furnace 5 and 1. The previous best figure with two blast furnace operations was of 11,504 tonnes achieved on November 25, 2019.

RSP's Executive Director (P7A) Raj Vir Singh visited the department and congratulated the blast furnaces collective and all associated departments for their integrated effort and outstanding performance. Reposing faith on the commitment and capability of RSP collective, Singh exhorted all to strive for achieving the APP targets.

On the congratulatory event RSP's Chief General Manager (Blast Furnaces) BR Babu and other CGMs and General Managers of blast furnaces and other supporting departments were present.
