MDSL looking to hire Director (Shipbuilding)

MSDL recruitment 2020: Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MSDL) has invited job applications for the post of Director (Shipbuilding) for the organisation. Eligible candidates can apply online before March 4. The post will fall vacant on February 1, 2021.

Director (Shipbuilding) of MSDL is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She is responsible to ensure timely deliveries of all surface ships; maintaining high-quality standards and planning, directing and coordinating aII production and other activities related to Shipbuilding.

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/- Rs 3,40,000/- (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);

(b) Central government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;

(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 2,000 crore or more;

(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 2,000 crore or more. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications

The applicant should be an Engineering graduate preferably in Mechanical or Marine or Production Engineering discipline with a good academic record from a recognized university or institution. Postgraduate qualifications in aforementioned or related disciplines will have an added advantage.

Experience:

The applicant should have at least five years' experience during the last ten years at a senior level in an organisation of repute in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or Production or Planning or Control in a large scale integrated production unit dealing with turnkey heavy fabrication projects, of which at least two years should have been in Ship Building or Ship repairs activity.
