New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following Secretary-level appointments in the various Departments and Ministries on Thursday.

• Rajeev Ranjan, a 1985-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, who is posted as Special Secretary in GST Council Secretariat, Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance, has been appointed as Secretary in Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
• Pawan Kumar Agarwal, a 1985-batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre, who is currently serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
• Saraswati Prasad, a 1985-batch IAS of Assam cadre, who is currently posted as Special Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Steel has been appointed as Secretary in the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
• Usha Sharma, a 1985-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, currently posted as Director-General in the Archaeological Survey of India under the Ministry of Culture, has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
• Raj Kumar, a 1987-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, currently posted as Director-General in Employees' State Insurance Corporation under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence.

• Debasish Panda, a 1987-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, currently serving as Special Secretary in the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance has been appointed as Secretary in Department of Financial Services in the same Ministry.
