New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ravi Jha (IAS) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and Minister of State for Prime Minister's Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space in the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) on Wednesday.

Ravi Jha is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre of 2011-batch He has been appointed OSD to Dr Jitendra Singh for an initial period of three years at under Secretary level and thereafter at Deputy Secretary level with effect from July 1, or from the date of the upgrading of the post, whichever is later

"He has been appointed for an initial period of three years at under Secretary level and thereafter at Deputy Secretary level with effect from July 1, or from the date of the upgrading of the post, whichever is later consequently extending his tenure to the fourth year with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister of till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest," said an order from Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

Ravi Jha is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre of 2011-batch. He is currently serving in his home cadre.
