Fake alert! NMDC says it is not hiring executive trainees

A statement released by NMDC said that some websites were seen publishing a recruitment notice which was not notified by the PSU

New Delhi: Government-run National Mineral Development Corporation released a statement on Wednesday to caution people against a fake recruitment notice doing the rounds on the Internet, proclaiming that the public sector undertaking (PSU) is looking to recruit executive trainees.

A statement released by NMDC said that some websites were seen publishing a recruitment notice about 'NMDC Executive Trainees Recruitment 2019,' which was not notified by the state-run company.

"NMDC does not take any responsibility for public responding to/applying against such fake posts."

"This is to inform that it is a fake news that is being spread through websites and social media with malicious intent. All concerned are requested to beware of such mischievous act aiming to deceive the innocent by fraudulent means and hence do not pay any attention or act upon it," the company said.

NMDC said that no such notice had been issued by it to any newspaper or website.

"NMDC does not take any responsibility for public responding to/applying against such fake posts," it added.

NMDC, falls under the purview of the Ministry of Steel. It is India's largest iron ore producer, presently producing about 30 million tonnes of iron ore from 3 fully mechanised mines.
