Girish Kr Borah set to be next Director (Technical) of NRL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Girish Kumar Borah for the post of Director (Technical) of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL)

New Delhi: Girish Kumar Borah is set to be the next Director (Technical) of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager (CGM) in the same organisation.

Borah has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of NRL from a list of 10 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on December 27. Out of 10 candidates, six candidates were from NRL and one each from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Engineers India Limited (EIL) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

As Director (Technical) of NRL, Borah will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Managing Director (MD). He will exercise overall control for achieving the highest standards of efficiency and safety in refinery operations. He will also be responsible for projecting, planning and executing new plants and facilities in the refinery and timely completion of the projects.
