Here’s what NCL has done so far in fight against Coronavirus

New Delhi: The government had already directed all Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) to enforce work from home policy for half of their non-executive staff to prevent the spread of coronavirus. As per now the total number of coronavirus infected cases have crossed the 500 marks in India. Over than 30 states & Union Territories are under complete lockdown amid coronavirus fear. In such conditions, state-run coal producer Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal, is maintaining uninterrupted coal production to fulfil country's power demand. To keep coal production ongoing NCL has taken various measures in its fight against the pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19). Here is the list what NCL has done so for:

The company has started 'work from home' for executives and non-executives posted at its headquarters and area offices as per the government direction. Executives can work on the guidance of their respective HOD or Controlling Officer and be available on telephone and electronic means of communication. They also may attend office in case of the exigency of work.

Physical attendance of executives and non-executives, working headquarter is hereby dispensed with till March 31.

Executives and non-executives who are engaged in essential categories of work such as Hospital, Ambulance Services, Security, Water Supply, Sub-station, store, E&T, System, Power Supply and Sweeping and cleaning shall attend duties during the normal working hours.

The company has arranged all the precautionary pieces of equipment such as masks, sanitizers for the employees who are required to attend work duties. They can consult the medical officer in the case of any symptoms.

The sanitization of machines and other places are being done frequently

A quick response team has been made and a control room also  has been setup
