K Vinayak Rao is going to be Member (Finance) of AAI

New Delhi: K Vinayak Rao is set to be next Member (Finance) of Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Miniratna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Civil Aviation. He was recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. He is currently serving as Member (Finance) of Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

Rao has been selected for the post of Member (Finance) of AAI from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. A total of six candidates, who were on the list were from AAI, two candidates were from CONCOR and others were from KIOCL Limited and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL).

K Vinayak Rao is an Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer of 1987-batch. He has done his MA (Mathematics) from St Stephen's College of Delhi University.

Airports Authority of India (AAI)

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India.

AAI manages 125 airports, which include 18 international airports, seven customs airports, 78 domestic airports and 26 civil enclaves at defence airfields.
