New Delhi: State-run Navratna PSU, NBCC (India) Limited under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has implemented 'Recognition of Prior Learning' (RPL) programme under the 'Skill India Mission' at its offices and projects sites throughout the country. NBCC has been implementing RPL programmes at various project sites across the country with a purpose to promote skill development and discover uncertified talented workforce in the construction sector.
In line with this, NBCC, in association with the Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has recently implemented the 'Recognition of Prior Learning' (RPL-4) programme at its IIT-Delhi project site. In a programme organised at IIT-Delhi project site, the workers have been felicitated with certificates by the senior officers of NBCC Limited. On the occasion officers from CII and CSDCI were also present.

So far, NBCC has implemented RPL programme at various work sites including ITPO-Pragati Maidan, East Kidwai Nagar, NIT-Narela, NIDM-Rohini, IIT-Delhi, New Gujarat Bhawan, Vanijaya Bhawan, Sports Injury Centre-Safdarjung, CBI-Maidangarhi, CISF-Maidangarhi, NSEZ-Noida, AIIMS Works at Bilaspur (HP), Dehradun and HSCL worksites.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a platform to provide recognition to the informal learning or learning through work to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of education.
